The judge might not have been lenient, he was probably just following the criminal law's punishment code. Sexual assault is generally classified as 'in between' the two codes of crime (i.e. a felony or a misdemeanor) so 9 years actually sounds about right, unfortunately.

I agree with her. I think his sentence is pretty low for raping a minor in the circumstances he should have got at least 15 years IMO (it sounds like the judge was lenient). Then to get out early and gloat is just asking for trouble.

I think she should have a small punishment like a fine and couple of months in prison (like 4).

A Spanish mother has taken revenge on the man who raped her 13-year-old daughter at knifepoint by dousing him in petrol and setting him alight. He died of his injuries in hospital on Friday.

Antonio Cosme Velasco Soriano, 69, had been sent to...
