Tags : None Access Hollywood updated 5:43 p.m. ET April 23, 2008 NEW YORK - Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony tried to keep their pregnancy under wraps, but now the couple is ready to let the whole world catch a glimpse of their family. J.Lo and Marc have signed on for a new reality show with TLC, Access Hollywood has learned. The new mom, who gave birth to twins in February, was on hand at the TLC upfront presentation in New York on Wednesday to announce the news. "I am excited to be part of the TLC family," Lopez said. "I'm looking forward to sharing this exciting journey together." Besides starring in the show alongside her husband and kids, J.Lo will also serve as co-executive producer of the unscripted new series. According to a press release from the cable network, the show will "deliver a slice of (Lopez's) life that audiences have never seen before, as she takes on her career and launches a new fragrance while trying to juggle her new responsibilities as a first time mom." The series is currently in production. The Discovery Communications-owned cable channel announced the partnerships at its upfront presentation here Wednesday. J-Lo, who made an appearance at the show, will co-create, executive produce and star in a docuseries about her life as a new mom and businesswoman balancing a music/fashion/film career as she launches a new fragrance. Simon Fields and Gay Rosenthal are executive producers with Lopez. "I am excited to be part of the TLC family," Lopez said in a statement. "I'm looking forward to sharing this exciting journey together." The show is one of the more high-profile projects to come out of the network since Angela Shapiro-Mathes joined as president. "Jennifer is unbelievably passionate about life and will be an incredible model for our audience," Shapiro-Mathes said. "I'm thrilled to be partnering with her on a series that will take our audience into a fascinating world. It's a fun, emotional journey that will be inspirational and yet very relatable to today's women." Ripa and Consuelos, who also made a cameo at the upfront, are developing projects at the network under their Milojo Productions banner. The deal gives TLC first-look rights at all unscripted series to come out of the production company. Ripa and Consuelos will also host a show for the channel. "I've known Kelly and Mark since the first day each of them joined All My Children," Shapiro-Mathes said. The executive formerly worked in daytime TV. "They reflect our audience, and the audience knows and loves them. They are now an important part of our TLC family." "The first thing you want in a relationship is for it to feel right, and this definitely feels right," Ripa and Consuelos said in a joint statement. "And it's great to be working with Angela Shapiro-Mathes again -- she has been instrumental in our careers." Discovery's upfront, held at Jazz at Lincoln Center, followed similar stage shows the company has held in Los Angeles, Detroit and other cities over the past week at which it announced new shows for several other cable channels in its portfolio.

Malibu Nautica Triathlon 08	TLC Plans Shows With Star Couples By Jon Lafayette Discovery Communications' TLC announced it is working on shows with two high-profile showbiz couples: Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, and Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. Ms. Lopez and Mr. Anthony will appear in a reality series looking at the inner workings of their lives. Ms. Lopez will co-create and co-executive produce the series. Ms. Ripa and Mr. Consuelos will be developing several unscripted shows for TLC, including one that will star the "Live With Regis and Kelly" co-host. The deals were announced at the Discovery Communications upfront presentation Wednesday in New York. Discovery also showed a video in which Oprah Winfrey discussed plans for OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, which debuts in the second half of 2009.

Im disapointed in another way, a reality show about her personal life is a huge mistake its just attracting unecessary attention, which she has tried for a long time to shake off. Im surprised Marc likes the idea. I view reality shows as tacky and something that is usually attributed to lower class stars who want publicity. I hope this is more like MTV runway and nothing that has filming in her house or private life.

Posts: 1420 04/23/08 7:15 PM I know what I'm talking about	Ever since they married, I've seen some occasional little blurb about Jen and Marc working together on a TV show, then nothing . . The first year they were married, I heard they were interested in a variety / music show, not reality. Later on, as Jen began performing live with Marc here and there (before their tour), there was talk of a reality show about them while touring together. Maybe that didn't happen because she was pregnant? I'm puzzled because they are so focused on privacy and avoiding the paparazzi, a reality show will undo all the progress they've made. Will they be adopting a role, rather than being themselves (as done in "I love Lucy")? A music/variety show is entertainment, like when they toured together, so I'm fine with that. But not a Carmen Electra, Nick & Jessica type reality show, please God not that. Weren't the Osbornes (sp?) the only marriage and family who survived their's? The opinion in the industry, according to an article I read, is that Reality show = desperate measure to revive a dying showbiz career, and that it's destructive to marriage and family life. It wouldn't be healthy for their children at all: boundaries are important; this could really mess up anyone's family. And Marc is so private.. I just don't believe it at all. One more thing: think of all the crazy rumors we've heard that were totally without substance (e.g. recent Tom Cruise / godfather rumors).. So until Marc & Jennifer address this, I'll assume it's made up - but by whom? Jen & Marc, hope you'll please address this soon, because your fans care.. Last Edited By: sunNmoon 04/23/08 8:07 PM. It's probably more about juggling the life as parents with a career. It will include some personal moments, but her business ventures will be an important part. OMG I'M DYING. Ditto!
