Remember Madonna always had trouble for getting noms when she started for a long time, she is now considered the Queen of Pop and a living legend. I see Jen
being judged and hated on like Madonna when Madonna first started.

With J.LO is better not to have big expectations otherwise you can be very dissapointed! That is absurd. Just because she wasn't nominated for a Grammy or an Oscar or whatever doesn't mean she is a failure. I am completely in awe of what she accomplishes and respect her immensely for doing what she does.

An AMA is big stuff, too. That's based on sales, I believe.
Maybe for singles it depends on the release date of the actual CD single? |

Can't always compare different generaions (but) - - I remember liking certain performers on tv variety shows when I was growing up : there were people my
family liked, who never / hardly ever were recognized w/ awards. Even then, @ the Oscars etc., there were always favorites, + others ignored : e.g. There was a
soap opera my in-laws loved (all my childrn?) + actress susan lucci ("erika kane") was so hot in the 1970's , but that poor woman was nominated
and snubbed @ the Emmy awards for 18 years (!) and despite the embarrassment , she still showed up like a
trooper each year- - and the public really grew to admire (+ side w/ ) her.
My point (?): it's much more important to connect w/ people, your fans who love you, and make new fans - which is happening -- but it takes time. Don't Forget: the (2) Awards Jen just won (one being an American Music Award! ) + Both of her awards this year reflect the fans' involvement, i.e. people taking the time and Voting for her, and actual sales figures. In the end, all that matters to us in the audience is being moved or enjoying that special performer through the years, jmo. Now with a wonderful husband she adores and babies on the way etc, she'll continue to grow and connect. She's learning alot from Marc -what a doll he's been, guiding and nurturing her through the tour (P.A. video!  ) -- + he's a warm, down-to-earth guy, plus that gorgeous voice of his!

We know you're new here huetarfriend but lets keep things positive around here. I'm sure she cares but it's not the end of the world. Also, I
believe that her time will come. I've said this before but didn't Cher win her first Grammy with her 'Do you believe' song? as did madonna with
Ray of Light?

Of course we care! And being realistic with saying that Jen won't be remembered? How is that realistic? That's being negative. If you're
disappointed with Jen not being nominated (as most of us were) then don't take it out on Jen by saying that she won't be remembered. The Grammys have
nominated crap anyway, seriously, Fergie?
