MARC ANTHONY AND JENNIFER LOPEX WELCOME FRATERNAL TWINS - - A SON AND A DAUGHTER
by Sarah, CBB Senior Contribut
Singers and actors Marc Anthony, 39, and Jennifer Lopez, 38, are new parents after welcoming fraternal twins -- a boy and a girl -- just after midnight on
Friday, February 22nd in Long Island, NY. Their daughter arrived first, at 12:12 am and weighed in at 5 lbs, 7 oz. Her twin brother followed 11 minutes later
at 12:23 am, weighing in at exactly 6 lbs.
Names have yet to be released, but People's editor tells the Today show that Jennifer and Marc will be announcing them to the magazine later today.
The couple's rep says,
Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon. Everyone is healthy and happy.
After months of rumors, the couple confirmed the pregnancy on-stage in November. In January, Jennifer laughed that 'everyone knew anyway -- I was on tour
with a bubble gut!'
Although Jennifer's father confirmed that she was expecting twins, the couple laid low after the tour was over, save for only a few public appearances --
the Movies Rock event, a few shopping trips, their baby shower, the Marchesa fashion show, and a UNICEF benefit.
The twins join Arianna, 13, Cristian, 7, and Ryan, 4 ½, Marc's children from previous relationships.
Meanwhile, OK! has confirmed that they've obtained international rights to the twin's first photos, while it appears People has secured US rights.

Good news travels fast, and when Marc Anthony's sister found out about the double blessing he and wife Jennifer Lopez had early Friday morning, she was overjoyed.
"I learned this morning. I'm ecstatic, I really am. I'm happy for her," Yolanda Santa Maria, Anthony's older sister, told PEOPLE Friday
after hearing the birth news on Good Morning America.
"She's a mom for the first time. I can just imagine the euphoria she's going through."
And as for her brother? "It's another two blessings for him. He beat me - I have four [kids] and now he has five. I'm so happy for him. I
don't even know what to say. It's like if I had the babies."
Santa Maria, who expects to meet her new niece and nephew soon, added, "I can't wait to see them, I can't wait to meet them. Words don't even
begin to express how happy I am for them."
I can't wait for the names. As many have said I think Julia may be involved with the girl, but NO CLUE for the boy. If they decide for Kyle though I'm
all for it
YAYYYYYYY I'M SO HAPPY FOR MARC AND JENNY FINALLY DIS DAY CAME!!! I FEEL LIKE CRYING LOLZ MY SISINLAW JUST GAVE BIRTH ON
VALENTINES DAY TOO. AWWWWW I'M SOOOOO HAPPY 4 MII BOO YO
You know after reading that again (and again and again and .....) I'm just amazed at how big those babies were. I know when my cousin had her twins, she
had to do the C-section and they were tiny. Those babies weighed (the boy) the same as I did when I was born. I was 6 lbs. 5 oz. when I was born and I came
just a week early. That's actually not bad...not bad at all.
I'm Not Obsessed has exclusively learned that Jennifer Lopez went in last night for an emergency c section because she went into labor.
Her original c section was scheduled for today, but plans changed once her body wanted the babies out earlier.
Thanks to my blood promise partner for hooking it up.

Jennifer Lopez won't be lacking for special treatment while she's recovering from giving birth to twins early Friday.
The new mother has all the comforts of home at Long Island's North Shore University Hospital, where she's convalescing at the Pavilion at Nine Monti,
a special unit of private suites on the medical center's ninth floor.
Rooms in the Pavilion feature a boutique-hotel-like environment, including a family seating area with love seat and sofa, rich wood cabinets to conceal
medical equipment, a refrigerator stocked with bottled water and select juices, a flat-screen TV and wireless Internet access. Even the hallways are carpeted
to provide a sense of home and tranquility.
Jennifer, 38, will also have fine bedding, robes and fluffy towels to keep her cozy during her stay. Food from the chef-inspired menu will be served on
special china. And a private duty nurse is available for an additional fee.
J. Lo's guests will be well-taken care of, as well. The facility offers valet parking. At the hospital café, family and guests can help themselves to
beverages and snacks, and the visitors' salon has comfortable seating, a TV, computer and Internet access.
In the hospital "spa," patients and their guests can have massages, aromatherapy and reflexology for approximately $75 an hour. Fresh cookies are
served every afternoon and an on-call chef is available to whip up whatever the patient desires, and deliver the food privately to their room.
While Jennifer's love don't cost a thing, the same can't be said for her accomodations. Rooms range in price from $750 a night for a regular
room to $850 and up for a suite.

Yeah, but it's just gossip at this point. That's a long time between and hopefully there were no complications, so I'm gonna go with natural
childbirth, but as long as the babies are healthy it doesn't matter.
