JenRox wrote:Yes, the article is correct, but I read somewhere, I want to say it was directly from Ben that he didn't like Benny Medina and he thought he was a bad influence on her, I believe it was during the Vibe magazine interview with Jen and Ben, I will research and post tonight, also, right when Jen and Ben broke up that's when Benny Medina was almost back in the picture as manager for Jen remember? But Benny was blowing up big with Mariah, and it seemed Mariah would not share Benny Medina with Jen so Benny and Jen never reconciled their manager relationship.
Like I said before, Jennifer's people did not negotiate the shoot. Marc's people did it. So if Benny really is back, that would have had nothing to do with him.RuRuLoVesJLO wrote:

Dont mean to sound Light Headed But is Benny Been back working with jennifer A good thing?IF Benny is back then her music career could rebound big time.
When Jennifer and Benny had a falling out and he stopped managing her career Jennifer's career went down the toilet. While Jen and Ben Affleck were dating, Ben Affleck did not like Benny Medina so Ben Affleck made Jen drop Benny Medina, so Benny Medina ran to Jen's enemy: Mariah Carey, and they created one of the biggest comebacks in history: The Emancipation of MiMi, Benny gave Mariah a nick name, exactly how Jennifer got her nick name JLo. Also, when Jennifer was flopping with Hold U Down feat. Fat Joe, Benny Medina and Mariah took a stab at Jen's music career by having Fat Joe remix Mariah's "It's Like That" right before Jen dropped her 2nd single flop Hold U Down, almost as thought they were mocking Jennifer lol. Mariah's comeback is huge thanks to Benny Medina. So when Jen tried to get Benny back, Mariah would not have it. Seems Benny is currently lost control of Mariah (notice Mariah's going crazy again and she's back to her diva selfishness) and Benny may be drifting towards Jen's camp again.Actually, that is not what happened when they split. Here's an article I posted months back when we talked about this last:
Here's an article from the NY Post about Jen & Benny's split. No mention of Affleck, to those of you who said she canned him because of Ben.

NY POST/
---
Benny Medina, the 43-year-old Hollywood manager who was unceremoniously sacked by his star client Jennifer Lopez last week, must be feeling pretty Lo himself these days. After all, he's widely credited with transforming the unknown Latina star from a bit-part actress into one of the music and film industry's most bankable stars in the five years he's been building her career.
But the two suddenly severed all ties just days ago.
Asked what went wrong, the depressed-sounding Medina would only say, "Yeah, well, that's show business, right?" before declining repeated requests for a full interview.
But Tinseltown's rumor mills hold that Medina out-diva'd Jennifer Lopez - living a life larger than that of J.Lo, and that behavior got him the boot.
Reportedly, Lopez's talent agency, Endeavor, issued the star an ultimatum last week: either Benny goes, or you do. To their surprise, she turned around and fired them both - and has now signed with Hollywood giant CAA.
Endeavor was thought to be becoming increasingly disturbed not only by Medina's controlling influence on their star, but also by his increasingly bizarre, and expensive, demands. Medina - not J.Lo - was said to be largely responsible for Lopez's "riders" - extravagant and elaborate lists of "must have" items and other demands submitted before appearances.
These were said to include everything from a single, white lily and white candles in every room J.Lo enters to a requirement that Medina be ferried around in a new Lincoln Navigator or Mercedes SLK. And not just any Mercedes SLK. A silver or platinum one.
What is not in dispute, however, is that Medina was the problem between Lopez and Endeavor.
Endeavor issued a statement Monday blaming Medina for its split with J.Lo, saying, "As an agency, we were no longer able to work with [Lopez's] manager Benny Medina. We thought it best for Jennifer and Endeavor that we part company at this time."
Medina's love of glamour and the high life is well known. He never misses a glitzy party if he can, frequently attending A-list bashes with his clients.
He sat next to Lopez at last year's MTV Video Music Awards, where she presented an award to Rudy Giuliani. Medina was also a prominent guest - with his then-client Puff Daddy and Donatella Versace - at the 2000 Versace after-show party in Paris.
Medina lives in a $1.6 million dollar mansion in Los Angeles' Bel Air district, sports a $60,000 watch and likes to wine and dine his star clients at fancy restaurants such as L.A.'s Ivy.
His penchant for the luxurious is so well known that Tinseltown gossips on the Web site Velvetrope.com have coined a new nickname for him - The Mediva.
But it was not always that way. Medina was the inspiration for - and creator of
- the hit sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air," about a poor black kid (played by Will Smith) who moves in with his rich uncle and aunt in their palatial L.A. mansion.
Medina came from a poor, broken home in the notorious Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles, and spent his younger years in and out of juvenile detention centers and foster homes.
He was living at one such community home, St. Elmo Village, when Jack Elliot, a white Beverly Hills composer of scores for TV and films with a wife and three kids, gave him his first break.
"They let me move in with them," Medina has said of the Elliot family. "I fixed up their garage in the back of the house and became part of the family. The deal was I had to keep a job, keep the grades up and be respectful of household rules."
Medina went on to attend Beverly Hills HS with the offspring of Motown honcho Berry Gordy, who spotted Medina's talents and swiftly hired him as a junior executive.
Medina subsequently migrated to TV, developing "Fresh Prince." The show helped make Smith an international star, and got Medina the gig managing him for several years, until the two split in acrimonious circumstances. They no longer speak to each other, sources say.
But while former associates will happily describe Medina as "egomaniacal" and "one of the most challenging personalities I have ever encountered," there is no denying their respect for the man.
Typical of one Web posting last week was a message stating: "Benny will bounce back. He did after Will Smith canned him a couple of years ago. His notorious way of living large is just the way the moguls of old did things."
Medina has bounced back before. But with the music industry in dire financial straits, his firing also could be a sign that the old days are forever gone.
I don't give a crap who she hires to manager her career. It just irks me that you guys think Benny is some sort of God and Jennifer only succeeded because of him.
Okay, yeah, let me know what you find. ![]()
I vaguely remember that they got back together for a minute, but was that when Mariah was around?
