i was thinking and wanted to know if anyone elset thought about it what if Jennifer were to also sign with livenation . regardless of her project lastest
performacnes she is still a household name and very banakble starlet. then touring and music and movies with way more promotion and not her popping up
everywhere but just making sure the people know jen has projects outwhat do you guys think
Its not THAT hard. Its a business, and if you're doing it,you have to do everything.
Its really sad that Jen worked YEARS for the Spanish album, and she made only promotion for ONE WEEK. And second single came after 6 months. (and its not even
second single, cuz it wasn't released everywhere)
If it wasn't THAT hard, then everyone would be successful in the music business. She does the album promotion that SONY tells her to do. I don't
remember how long she promoted it, but I think you're minimizing it. She performed on American Idol - the biggest show in the US with 30 million viewers
and the largest Hispanic audience for an English show, created a TV series around it, toured with material from the album, promoted it overseas, etc.
That's not letting the album die, IMO.
^ Because she performed on American Idol, that's why QH jumped to #1 on the Latin Charts and made it to the BB Hot 100. The album itself also rebounded
back on the charts because of that performance. Success depends on lots of criteria, and right promotion is one of them. In fact, it's probably the most
important part. I thought CAUM did well for a Spanish album and they could've made it even more bigger, if only they were wise enough to do the right promo
and choose the right second single. It should've been TVAQ and not MHF six months later.
I love Jen, but honestly, I don't hope for the GH album to make her music career turn 360 degrees. Brave was a brand new studio album, and people
didn't even care. Why would they want a GH album? Only fans would get it. I will get it only because it's Jen. So what if the greatest hits album has 3
or 4 new tracks? You can get them from the net with just a few clicks. However, I still have faith that Jen can make a comeback if she really wants to. Mariah
can do it, so I don't see any reason why Jen cannot. But if she's only doing promo for 2 weeks, releasing 1 single and maybe a sucky 2nd single, and
then pretending she never released an album (like she did with Rebirth after only releasing it for 2-3 months), she will never make it back.

Yeah, I don't expect a GH album to do anything for anyone's career, regardless of who they are or who they were, so I don't know why any of you are
expecting it to turn her music career around. They never do for anyone really, they're just an excuse for quick cash.
same here,I dont want an album if they won't support Jen/if Jen won't promote it..
Jen is contractually obligated to promote her projects, and Sony has the power to increase or decrease promotion as they see fit. They are paying for it. And
Jen isn't a 15-year-old girl, a country singer, an indie band or a crappy rapper named Flo-Rida, so a label isn't going to shell out for top promotion.
She just isn't the most bankable performer right now, and it's not HER fault. I still maintain that she is just not what sells right now, as are a lot
of other artists. She cannot just stroll into Sony, demand to be on every TV show and radio station and spend a week in every country in the world. It
doesn't work that way.
We can use Usher as an example. Slower R&Bish hip-hop songs are what's popular now...Love In This Club sounds like Fabulous and Ne-Yo and all those
guys. Whereas Yeah a few years ago sounded like Lil' Jon and the 'crunk' ATL sound that was big. You need to stick with the times to have a hit and
it takes a really special song to break the mold again and create the new sound.

I totally agree with you.
I don't think its easy to make an album to be a big success, but its not that hard, if you have good songs, like all of
Jen's albums have, good promotion and choosing the right singles. You have to work hard to make something work out. If everything was so easy, there
wouldn't be any reason to be proud of.
Jennifer is capable and strong, she worked really hard in the beginning to get where she is, so make an album a success its easy for her, but she needs
support, and imo, she doesn't have it.

I hope Jen will do something like No Doubt did with their greatest hits album
they released a boombox with 4 discs: greatest hits, b-sides/unreleased tracks, dvd with all the videos (although I wouldnt like Jen to do this since we
already have The Reel Me and the other videos, except 2, are on the Brave bonus dvd) and a concert dvd (we still need an en concierto tour dvd ).
in the booklet they have 2 pages for each song. on 1 page is a promo pic from around the time the single was released and the lyrics, on the other page the
band wrote something bout the song: memories, recording process something like that.
would love Jen to do something like this, they can turn the 4th disc into a dvd with behind the albumshoots footage or maybe a performance of each hit song on
the album.
^ Sony is trying to make money by Greatest Hits,so they probably do something that won't cost much.
and thats what i am afraid off... they need to pull something different with this GH... if its just a regular cd, it wont sell... they need
something special... wont happen anyway...
I still think a photoshoot that was in an art gallery would be cool. Jen would be posing in different exhibits from her past albums and eras. But dressed how
she is today, so kind of showing the past is still who she is, but she's come a long way...or some deep thing like that lol.
