Introduction to Jen-ology Posts: 5 10/03/09 12:15 PM	Tags : None Okay so I'm a HARDCORE fan of both, known of Selena since 94 hardcore fan of Jen's since she was a Fly Girl. But I want to know if there are fans of both. I just don't understand the hatred towards J.Lo from Selena fans. I just don't get it. It's not her fault, Selena died, she didn't shoot her, only thing Selena did for Jen was help her realize you don't have all the time in the world to do things so do it now, because tomorrow isn't promised, and Jen's doing that, I just don't understand. She has nothing but pure drive and ambition, that's why she is where she is. With the millions of dollars, rings, cars, success, the man, and two beautiful kids. If she did the movie and just chilled out and didn't do anything, she wouldn't be here, but she was working with A-list actors, producers, and directors before Selena came along, it's just Selena's death was big and she went for the part. I just wanted to say this, I was on a Selena board and they slam Jen like she's the freaking killer. And on the Beyonce board (I'm only there for the Other Celebrities section) they call her a talentess whore and think Beyonce is the second coming of Christ.

Yeah, unfortunately, I think Selena fans resent Jennifer because she's alive and Selena isn't. I don't quite understand celeb hatred, though. I think it's pointless. I mean, it's fine if you don't like someone, but taking it to the level some people do is just nuts, lol. I like some of Selena's songs and I have a few cds around.

As far as I remember, Jen payed tribute to Selena during her first major concert in Puerto Rico. So I think that whole homage thing could have answered all these.

Introduction to Jen-ology Posts: 88 10/04/09 9:40 AM	I'm a Selena fan too. I'd love her music so much. Selena had a big talent, her voice is the most wonderful which I ever heard. I started interesting Selena after I watched a "Selena" movie with J.Lo. This movie really captivated me as though Jennifer's role. It's a pity that Selena died...she was so young... And they did the same thing to Jennifer Pena, saying she should've been there. But Jennifer Pena was called the "next Selena" which she wasn't since she came out at age 12, she left Selena's label, and became her own person and people started saying she hated Selena. The same with Jen, it's like she doesn't have to talk about her a million times a day. She said she listens to her music, and she said she'll teach her kids about Selena, I think it was in the Bazaar magazine where she's wearing an all silver dress by Versace. I do think people should get over the whole thing about Jennifer needing to talk about Selena, it's ridiculous. It's cool to like someone even after their gone, but I don't know why they can't see it as Selena helped Jen and in a way Jen helped Selena.
