there's a definitely a line between havin a sexy soft voice, and being able to sing. madonna can sing, jennifer has a very THIN voice but can sing, aaliyah had a BEAUTIFUL singing voice so lets not even put cassie and aaliyah in the same boat, cuz honey, they are completely different. cassie can't sing FOR SHIT... and that's comparing her to ciara, cuz if i did a comparison, ciara would sit on her completely if voices is all we based it on. janet too, janet's voice is thinning out a lot too as the years go back, of course she's gettin older, but its not wat it used to be. but her voice has personality. cassie? her voice has NOTHING. it does not a damn thing for me. there is no emotion in it at all... and yeah, i wont even touch the beyonce subject because she has proven she has a versatile voice. but yeah i agree with screamers, jennifer hudson is definitely one of them. whitney houston is not a screamer, she is/was a true singer, she had the capability to sing both in a soft and strong voice. mariah carey is just annoying. you forgot to put celine dion on that list of screamers too, she is a spectacular singer. there is no one that can sing like her IMO, she is just amazing. but then when she calms it down and sings soft, she is just as amazing.

RuRu, you are just more about the production, the beats, and the overall sound. U really couldn't give a crap if a girl can sing or not, if its a good beat , a hard beat, like you said, with a nice sounding soft voice, its hott. and i admit, some songs them typa singers can really catch my ears. but there is no longevity for them except for a few. most of them wont be mentioned in 20 years when there is a taping of divas live or watever unless its madonna, janet, jlo, or people like that...

lady gaga is different, she can actually sing, even tho when it comes to live singing, she may stumble here or there and kinda mimic christina aguilera's runs sometimes, but she the best if you put her alongside britney spears, and maybe madonna - hmmm... well i dunno bout that, maybe or maybe not.
