Tags : None This keeps coming up, so I thought we should have a discussion about it. If/When Jen goes on tour, would you guys be pissed if she didn't sing live? Personally, I wouldn't really care. I'd be paying to see Jennifer and the show. I guess I'd like to hear her sing one song or two live, but that's it. I wouldn't be mad if she didn't sing live. And you guys?

If the song is lip-synched, either don't make it painfully obvious or cover it up by dancing like hell. But for the songs that don't demand dancing, then she better sing. There aren't any excuses anymore for that: we KNOW she can sing well live.

Otherwise people will just think "yeah she slept with Motolla to get a record deal" i dont mind her miming when she has a big choregraphy though (like in "If you had my love" or "Get Right") but i really love to hear her singing live in the "regular" songs ("Qué Hiciste" for example) , even if she's off-key And singing live will only make her a better singer Last Edited By: Dahk01 04/03/07 5:45 PM. Jennifer must sing live to train her voice Madonna always sings live, notice how she always keeps on getting better and better at singing.

I find it very hard to believe that Madonna sings live. Madonna doesn't always sing live but she does it more times than not. If I'm going to pay to go to a J.Lo concert then I'd want her to perform live. It also depends on the prices. If I pay 200 bucks for front-row tickets then I'd be pretty pissed off if she didn't sing live. I mean I'm basically paying that much just to see her. If she has big dance numbers and a lot of choreography then I guess I wouldn't mind it but I would like to know that she at least is making an effort.

But if she has to lip sync songs I at least like when they do re-recorded vocals that sound live and don't just play the album

I know cause ive seen her like 10 feet away a few times and I can hear her singing. It kinda pisses me off that she uses the background because her voice is really good and there is no need to. Yes, everyone is off-key sometimes but at least your showing people that you are making an attempt to sing. I think for her case its just that she's insecure and she's affaird people will judge her if she does sound bad (which is probably going to be the case) so I would just say she needs more confidence which is what Marc is giving her a singer.

But I would be annoyed if she lip synced, because I KNOW she can do it. Sorry, but nerves don't cut it when you're in a room with people who would give you a kidney.

Jen is capable of singing beautifully. A greater number of listeners in audiences are finally realizing this , and it's much to their surprise, as many admit. Jen must sing live. Marc does. If she doesn't have time to continue vocal training, then maybe Jen's still wearing too many hats, career-wise,jmo. Before the release of CAUM, Jen wasn't taken seriously as a singer by many, including some of her peers. Milli-Vanilla and Ashley Simpson, anyone? They did themselves in. What if, God forbid, a malfunction happens "live"? There would be no living that down, imo. Jen's had enough covert sabateurs (sp?)leaking lies to the press, just as she's launching a new project. The more she trains and practices, the more spontaneous her singing will be, and her anxieties will lessen and be more easily managed. Confidence feeds on itself. So does avoidance, if that's what's going on. Hopefully, she's working on all this; maybe she wants to wait for AI, next week - when we'll all be blown away by her performance.. (fingers crossed) PS - I'll go.
