Marc Anthony doesn't take himself seriously. In spite of being the reigning king of salsa, with a string of hit singles and platinum albums, he jokes that J.Lo is "the boss."

Who's the boss?! "She's the boss. She's always been my boss. Not much has changed there."

She's not just a boss, she's a coach: "She coached me as an actor, and I just finished producing her Spanish album. You have to hear her sing with the London Symphony Orchestra - it's a totally different Jennifer. I got probably more out of her than she did out of me."

Telling your bosses to, um, take a powder: "When I first started in salsa, they wanted to pay me in cocaine. I was like, 'Are you kidding me? You guys are dinosaurs. Where's my cash?' I think my upbringing - which put the fear of God into me - helped me resist."

So that means no subscription to Us Weekly? "What they say in the press does not define me. My choices as a man, a husband and father define me In our home, Jennifer and I are responsible not only to each other but for each other. We're very clear about that. I would never do anything that's going to compromise her trust in me.

The last time Jennifer Lopez did movies with the man she loved, it was a critical and box-office disaster. Now "Bennifer," Gigli, and Jersey Girl are distant memories. It's "Marcifer" who brings you El Cantante, based on the turbulent life of Salsa legend Hector Lavoe. I'd say, J.Lo has finally found the right guy in superstar singer Marc Anthony , who takes on the role of Lavoe, while she plays his wife Puchi. Jennifer was positively glowing as she told me, "What I've learned is that you've got to want to be better people for each other. To share that with each other is a beautiful thing."

Yes, folks, a movie can make you appreciate your relationship: "Hector Lavoe and Puchi were very tough on each other. She sort of enabled his self-destructive appetite for drugs and booze and then would punish him. I guess you could call her a ball buster. But after a day of screaming at each other on the set, Marc and I would go home and say, 'Thank God we have a sane marriage.' Now we don't feel so bad about arguing over the toothpaste."

Shhhhh! Don't let Ben hear your say this … "I realized once I got married that the way I'd been living wasn't bringing me happiness. Marc and I rarely spend more than a day or two apart, and we talk about everything - everything that you talk to the person in your life about."

What? Is this really J.Lo talking!? "I just need time to sit, do nothing, watch some movies, relax. That is a big lesson that I learned. You do need to sit still once in a while."

And the best advice of all: "Maybe it's why I can be tough. My mother said, 'You gotta have a thick skin, and don't worry about what people say, and just do all the beautiful things I know you can do.'
