I was looking on IMDB which I know isn't 100% reliable, but it says its US distributor is Columbia which is a big studio. So they don't appear to be producing it but distributing it.

Ummm, originally, we knew it was going to be a Columbia movie. The one being discussed here is an indie, though. That's why no one is sure if the indie one
is Jen's.

Q - Jen-related, (but) different movie - on IMDb, the other Hector Lavoe flic (THE SINGER) has two photos /posters displayed below its title. But one of the pix isn't theirs: clearly it is the standard Poster of Marc & Jen in EL CANTANTE (+ someone darkened the Letters to obscure the title? ). I tried the Up-date button to Delete it, but only saw (1) reference to "image / photo" on the form provided + nothing could be typed into the space ..

Yep, I just looked.
Kevin Wade, the writer of the screenplay, wrote Working Girl, Meet Joe Black, MIM, and a few episodes of Cashmere Mafia. He was nominated for Best Screenplay at the Golden Globes for Working Girl, so he doesn't totally suck, lol.
